28 Inspirational Sci-Fi Future Cities

Jul 22, 10 28 Inspirational Sci-Fi Future Cities

I have always been a huge SciFi fan. I like to envision myself living in some of these fantasy worlds that were created by some very talented individuals. I am aware that I will never get the true opportunity to live in one of these sci-fi cities displayed below, after viewing these images however I know that my dreams will have a whole new dimension.

Hopefully for all of you aspiring artists out there, take some of these images as inspiration and make your own fantasy worlds whether it be in your dreams, your art,  or on the big screen.

gotta admit, the pictures, from an artistic standpoint, are all wonderful and imaginative, but i can’t help but thinking, from a human standpoint, that the future that they depict is quite grim. They all seem overcrowded, gargantuan, dark and de- humanizing, nevermind that, ecologically speaking the amount of resources they would consume would be unsustainable to the extreme, given the projected advance of technology as we know it (in the last picture, i very much doubt that the water from the flow pipes from the city would be that clear, sewage rarely is). There seems to be no place for the individual, for art, and life other than what can be mass produced, mass consumed and mass discarded. Please give us a different view of the future, where humanity is the center of the vision and not technology and consumerism!
